Social Media/Digital Marketing Specialist


Monark Group is looking for an excellent Social Media/Digital Marketing Specialist who can work in the friendly, face-paced and growing work environment. We are hiring someone to create and execute a strategy that will help us grow our social media traffic and manage a variety of other marketing projects. Successful candidate will work on developing, managing and analyze a social media strategy for a variety of projects as well as work on other marketing tasks.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Someone who is eligible to legally work full-time in Canada
  • Identify and develop social media strategies, connect with key social influencers and bloggers and help us build content across multiple online channels
  • Continuously improve social media strategies by capturing and analyzing metrics
  • Create and publishing compelling content on our social media channels with the support of the marketing team
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to improve and strength brand communication through digital storytelling, contests and guerrilla marketing tactics.
  • Brainstorming and conceptualizing unique ideas for existing and new brands, and implement the project with support from the marketing team
  • Continuously identify and act on new opportunities for audience growth, brand awareness, and brand exposure
  • Overall support to the marketing department on a variety of projects
  • Post, monitor and engage on social media channels daily (primarily Facebook & Instagram, grow LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube)
  • Create communications content for various channels, including website blog, email campaigns, marketing materials and PR


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing, social media management or related field
  • A post-secondary degree in Digital Marketing, Communications or related
  • Exceptional written communication skills, both written and verbal with English as a first language
  • Experience writing for SEO is a plus
  • Proven experience delivering innovative digital campaigns with results
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively and strategically to identify and resolve problems
  • Willingness to learn new programs and software


  • 2-3 years of experience working with WordPress, Google Sheets, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, MS Office Suite and SEO platforms
  • 2-3 years of experience managing successful social media campaigns and solid understanding of social marketing
  • Experience preparing and editing content for online, publications, documents, social media, reports and communication materials for various audiences
  • Experience with social ad platforms
  • Experience with online content creation/blogging
  • Experience with email marketing on various platforms
  • Experience creating digital and print marketing materials
